I have been seeing counsellors for a long time, but Dawn is simply the best I have ever met.

She has helped me so much especially in dealing with my childhood demons.

I cannot recommend Dawn enough.

I had 6 sessions with Dawn, helping me through a very turbulent time in my life, helping me to grieve and accept sight loss.

Giving me the opportunity to talk openly in a safe space in a non-judgmental way, helping me to live my life in a different way, to recognise my strengths and realising am stronger than I first thought.

Dawn gave me tips and advice to help me cope with anxiety, and also sort support groups, for me to make contact with people who are experiencing sight loss.

I am certainly in a different place mentally due to the support and compassion from Dawn. And no homework.

I could not recommend Dawn enough. I had sessions for just over a year, exploring and working through a variety of issues and negative past experiences.

Dawn was non-judgemental and supported me to work at the pace I needed. The sessions offered a perfect mix of a listening ear and regular space to offload, as well as guiding me to better understand myself & my life experiences and teaching me to be kinder to myself.

I feel better equipped to face the world!

I arrived with Dawn wondering if I really needed counselling about my situation(s), but I felt it important to try to open up and work through the challenges at hand. Firstly Dawn has a warm, intelligent and welcoming personality, wishing to learn about you, get back to your foundations and to really understand the person and personalities involved in each situation. She gave me confidence to open up and her timing to ask the right questions to bring out the most meaningful response is impressive. I was able to work through many situations, understand better, build resolution and strategies to resolve and move forward. We leave each other for the moment, and I use the learnings from our sessions to rebuild and move forward. Thank you.

I came to see Dawn for counselling as part of the requirements for my course. From our very first session, I felt an instant bond with Dawn that made it very easy for me to open-up, and explore some difficult emotions. Dawn has a wonderfully warm and gentle approach that made me feel completely at ease. Her presence allowed me to explore my feelings at my own pace, without ever feeling rushed or judged. Dawn was so warm and empathetic from our first meeting I really felt I could open up to her. I did feel like I learned a lot (about myself/ life/ the universe) in each session and saw some of my relationships and challenges significantly improve session to session. I received 6 sessions of counselling through my employer, and was first placed with another counsellor who I didn't click with at all. I then changed to Dawn for my remaining sessions and felt immediately at ease with her gentle approach and relateable conversational style.

I really enjoyed her methods of giving scientific insights into behaviour (clearly something that works for me which she responded to), as well as encouraging free (but guided) talking without pushing in any one direction and gently digging slightly deeper where appropriate. Any little success was pointed out and celebrated, any problems looked at from a different perspective to identify the sticking points. I felt very safe throughout, never judged, never had any answers put in my mouth.

I would not hesitate for a second contacting Dawn again should I need further help, the progress I was able to make in only 5 sessions under her guidance was immense.

I have worked with Dawn for some months about issues surrounding Boarding School Syndrome, abuse at home and family and personal relationships. I have found Dawn truly supportive; encouraging curiositiy and engagement in all areas of my life.

I now feel calm and balanced, and able to proceed positively in my relationships and engage with my children, as a rounded and supportive father. I feel unlocked.
